Maintaining that the MPTC and ZPTC elections have proved that the people of Andhra Pradesh are favouring development, Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has said YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should accept the people’s mandate.
In a statement released after the announcement of the MPTC and ZPTC election results on Thursday, the Minister said the victory of the alliance candidates across the State is a testament to the aspirations of the people.
“Even in the Rayalaseema region, often considered a stronghold of the YSRCP, people extended their support to the NDA candidates,” he said.
“The results are yet another setback for the YSRCP, which has lost the trust of the people. Unable to accept the defeat in the local body polls, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy is making false claims regarding the elections. He must learn to respect the people’s mandate,” the Minister said.
The public wants the development-oriented and welfare-focused governance provided by the alliance government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Mr. Janardhan Reddy said.
“The local body election results make it evident that the people are endorsing development, welfare, and good governance,” he said and expressed confidence that the public will deliver a similar verdict in the upcoming panchayat (sarpanch) elections.
