The NFC "Least" takes centerstage on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 8.

A pair of disappointing teams, the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles, will take part in this primetime contest in the shadows of the nation's capital.

Injuries have taken a toll on the visiting Eagles, claiming Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and more at times. In the case of Hurts, he could miss the remainder of the season with blood clots in his lungs. That reality has Philadelphia spiraling through seven weeks at just 2-5, leaving many to wonder what the future holds for Nick Sirianni and his team.

Fittingly, the same question is being asked for a different reason in Washington. The Commanders' game management miscues tell the story for Dan Quinn's 1-4-1 team. Now his seat is heating up while the weather outside cools down. If Quinn is going to continue in his role, he'll likely need quarterback Jayden Daniels to play well down the stretch.

Neither team is officially out of it in the NFC East, but it's getting dark early this season. And that has nothing to do with the clock change earlier this morning.
