Three members of a family were found dead inside their residence at Changanassery here on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Saju Antony, 64, his wife Anu Saju, 59, and their son Sabin Saju, 33. According to investigators, the bodies of Saju and Anu were discovered in one room, while Sabin was found dead inside the store room. Preliminary investigations suggest the deaths were a case of suicide driven by severe financial distress.

Locals said the family had earlier run a grocery store and were currently operating a homestay on the upper floor of their house. A probe is underway into the family’s finances over the past few months. The Changanassery police have initiated further legal procedures.
