Her Halloween costumes always get people talking, but Heidi Klum’s gruesome 2026 look has spawned conversation in an unexpected way, after fans speculated that a behind-the-scenes photo has let slip some major clues about The Batman: Part II.

The Project Runway star, 53, attended her own Halloween party on Saturday (31 October) night dressed as a rotten, severed hand, with the elaborate costume being created by Mike Marino of prosthetics company Prosthetic Renaissance.

Marino was responsible for turning Colin Farrell into the Penguin in The Batman and the HBO spin-off series The Penguin, and is working on the upcoming sequel to Matt Reeves’ film.

But when The Makeup Armoury, a prosthetics supplier who worked on the first The Batman film, shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the creation of Klum’s costume at Marino’s workshop, eagle-eyed fans recognised some faces in the background.

In one photo, head casts visible on the shelf in the background appear to be taken from confirmed cast members for the sequel, including Game of Thrones star Charles Dance.

Another looks like Bryan Tyree Henry, with the scarring on the face cast appearing to confirm rumours that the Atlanta star will play bad guy Two-Face, also known as Harvey Dent.

Previous reporting had suggested that Sebastian Stan would be playing Two-Face, but what looks like Stan’s face is instead by a storage box labelled “Zsasz”; in the DC Comics universe, Victor Zsasz is a serial killer and supervillain, and an enemy of Batman.

An owl mask also is situated next to a box labelled “Owl 3”, seemingly in reference to the Court of Owls, a criminal organisation that secretly controls Gotham.

The head casts were swiftly spotted by fans, with one fan page asking: “Spoilers for The Batman Part 2??”

“Delete this post! Yall got spoilers for the Batman Part 2 in the background!!!!” another wrote, while one fan commented: “Uh……”

The Independent has contacted Warner Bros for comment.

Stan, Dance and Henry were announced as having joined the cast of The Batman: Part II back in May, with Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Koch also coming on board.

At the time, however, the characters each actor would be playing in the sequel, which is scheduled for release in 2028 after multiple delays, were kept under wraps.

Released in March 2022, The Batman starred Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne and Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City police lieutenant Jim Gordon, who investigated a series of murders carried out by the Riddler, portrayed by Paul Dano.

The film was well received by critics and made $772 million (£575 million) worldwide, making it the seventh highest grossing film of the year.
