The Supreme Court Election Division has scheduled a hearing for the petitioner's witnesses on 21 December regarding the examination of the qualifications and disqualifications of Senate candidates. The opposing witnesses will be heard on 22 December.
On 5 November 2026, reporters from the Supreme Court at Sanam Luang reported that the Supreme Court Election Division reviewed evidence in case number Lot Sa Wo 8/2569. The petitioner, Mr. Direk Pornsima, former chairman of the Teachers' Council and former chairman of the Teachers' Network Assembly, filed a lawsuit against the Election Commission (EC) as the opposing party, requesting a review of the qualifications and disqualifications of Senate candidates and seeking to revoke the EC's ruling.
Today, the court dismissed the EC's request to postpone the case. The petitioner stated he would examine three witnesses, requiring one session, while the opposing party planned to examine two witnesses, also requiring one session. The court scheduled the petitioner's witness hearings for 21 December 2026 and the opposing party's witness hearings for 22 December 2026.
