As part of its continued commitment to internationalisation and global academic engagement, Riphah International University undertook a highly productive visit to the Maldives, opening new avenues for cross-border educational collaboration.

The visitโ€™s central academic milestone was the joint organisation of the Boutique International Conference on Medical Education (ICME 2026) with Maldives National University (MNU).

Beyond the conference, the delegation participated in important diplomatic and institutional engagements. Admiral (Retd.) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Maldives, hosted a breakfast reception in honour of the delegation, while Villa College hosted a formal dinner at Hulhule Island Hotel.

The delegation also held productive discussions with Villa Collegeโ€™s leadership, exploring opportunities for joint research, academic exchanges, student and faculty mobility, micro-credential programmes and institutional partnerships.

These engagements underscore Riphahโ€™s vision of building a globally connected academic ecosystem and creating meaningful opportunities for international cooperation.
