Rams not seeking trade for WR, could give 6th-round rookie bigger role - Rams Wire
It looks like despite the roster movement in the NFC West and across the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams are staying put and will not explore any trades for the wide receiver room – even with Davante Adams expected to have an extended stay on injured reserve. In his absence, Konata Mumpfield and Tutu Atwell have picked up the slack, as the Rams are currently in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
According to the Associated Press’ Greg Beacham, head coach Sean McVay remains happy with his wide receiver room and doesn't have a real desire to add another playmaker. There's also an indication that we could see more from rookie CJ Daniels in the near future.
Daniels was drafted by the Rams in the sixth round this past April after helping the University of Miami return to national relevance on the Hurricanes' route to the National Championship game. Daniels has played in two games as a rookie, making his debut two weeks ago against the Las Vegas Raiders before playing against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Daniels has yet to record a catch and he has not yet been targeted by Matthew Stafford.
