The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) said it registered 144 new electricity generation facilities between July and September this year.
The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) said it registered 144 new electricity generation facilities between July and September this year.
The facilities have a combined generation capacity of more than 3,000 megawatts, with an estimated investment value of R78.16 billion.
Solar PV accounted for the overwhelming majority, with 139 facilities registered.
Three wind projects, one battery energy storage facility and one co-generation facility are also registered.
