Mckenna Grace opens up about vulnerability in being 'loud' about love life - Geo News
Mckenna Grace and Mason Thames became friends to co-stars and co-stars to lovers, and the internet followed their journey because they hard-launched their relationship on social media.
The couple have since shared the screen multiple times and continue to show love to each other on the internet, and the Hunger Games star was asked about whether she thinks about the internet judgement before publicly showing her relationship.
Grace said, "I don't see the point in not celebrating who you're in love with. A lot of people's hesitation around this stems from the idea that if you post about someone a bunch and then you break up, that's embarrassing. But why would I even think about that? I'm just going to focus on the present."
The Regretting You actress continued, "It’s a terrifying thing in a relationship to surrender yourself to that thought of, I’m just going to be at my most vulnerable and trust you, and this part of my life is fully in your hands. But I don’t see the point in building a relationship based on fear. I am the biggest fan of the person I’m with, so why wouldn’t I be like, 'This is my person. I am so stoked I have this?' We’re always on each other’s sets anyway. He’s like an honorary member of District 12 at this point.”
Fans flocked to X to react to the comments, and wrote, "Awwwww," and "If they marry young, I am okay with it."
A third chimed in, "There’s something refreshing about not letting the fear of how things might end stop you from enjoying what you have now."
Another applauded, "This is actually such a healthy way to look at relationships online. why should people hide who they love just because of internet judgment. the way people treat a young celebrity talking about dating like it's a major cultural event is wild."
