Mckenna Grace calls out people misquoting her comments about 'nude scenes' - Geo News
Mckenna Grace is setting the record straight about her recent declaration that she will not do nude scenes “at this point” in her career.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 3, to clarify her comments, sharing one headline in particular that stated, “McKenna Grace Rejects ‘Nudity or Hypersexual Things’ in Acting Roles Because ‘My Dream Is to Be a Disney Princess Someday.”
“The two quotes being used right now in these titles are unrelated,” Grace, 20 wrote. “I said at this point in my career I think I’m uncomfortable doing something but I respect everyone who does- and I also have a dream job!”
The Young Sheldon alum emphasised that her discomfort with nude scenes or hypersexual roles isn’t simply because she wants to be a Disney princess. “It’s just because of my own personal boundaries and the level of comfortability I have with that sort of thing right now at this point in my life!” she explained.
“Silly that it’s become such a source of conversation!” the former child star noted. “So many more important things to talk about.”
In Cosmopolitan’s new cover story published a day earlier on Monday, Grace was asked if there are any roles she’d say no to.
“At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things,” she replied. “I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.”
She noted that although she has taken on less “wholesome” roles before, like her ill-fated character in Scream 7, her ultimate “dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”
