Mai and Apo Team Up with BeOnCloud to Launch 6 Thai-Japanese Rising Stars, Creating a New Phenomenon with iQIYI - Thairath English
BeOnCloud, a film, series production, and artist management company led by Pond Krisada, the creator behind the global sensation KinnPorsche The Series, has announced a new collaboration with iQIYI to launch "MANUKAI," a new iQIYI Original series revealed at the iQIYI iJOY TH 2027 event, scheduled for broadcast in 2027 GMT+7.
Following the worldwide success of KinnPorsche, which expanded into a World Tour, BeOnCloud is opening a new chapter with MANUKAI under the concept "A Whole New Feeling. A New Generation. A Global Journey." This project aims to create a new generation of artists with international growth potential and introduce a fresh global visual for Thai BL series by blending the charm of Thai and Japanese artists with a bright, distinctive, and accessible image for young audiences worldwide.
This project features six emerging actors from Thailand and Japan: Eriya, a Japanese model and actor who won the Grand Prix at MEN'S NON-NO; QP Nasiri, a former SM Entertainment trainee; Haruto Kagei, a Japanese model who has worked with Louis Vuitton, MUJI, and Nissan; Jacob Ferariori from The Face Men Thailand Season 4; Fuice Thanawat, known from Dead Friend Forever, 4MINUTES, and Shine The Series; and Justin Akarawin, a promising sports figure transitioning into acting.
These actors stand out not only for their unique looks and charm but also for their diverse experiences in acting, fashion, music, and sports. This reflects BeOnCloud's approach to creating the Next Generation of Global Artists equipped with talent, character, and image ready to expand into the global market.
A highlight is the return of Mai Pakpoom and Apo Natwiny, who bring their international experience to support and develop new artists in acting, character building, fashion, and music within this project.
Another highlight at the event was the appearance of Son Yuke Songpaisan and Euro Yossawat Thawapi, two actors from BeOnCloud, who helped enliven the iQIYI iJOY TH 2027 event, demonstrating the growth of the company, which now encompasses artists from multiple generations including both seasoned actors and promising newcomers.
At the event, Son Yuke was officially announced as a Friend of iQIYI Artist and introduced as one of the lead actors in "Ayothaya Oyawadee," a major series project from iQIYI adapted from a famous Thai comic. This marks a significant work to watch and an opportunity for Son to showcase his potential in a more challenging role.
MANUKAI is notable for its Thai-Japanese collaboration, involving actors, crew, and filming in both countries. This reflects BeOnCloud's vision to evolve from series production to artist development across multiple industries including entertainment, fashion, music, and global brand collaborations.
Additionally, the series' first original song, "Len Len (for real?)," an electronic pop track by Gingkaem Metika from TrueAF 2026 with rap sections by Jacob, was premiered at the event and released simultaneously on streaming platforms. This will be followed by a Music & Dance Challenge on social media to generate further engagement.
MANUKAI aims to take viewers on a journey alongside the rising artists, revealing their personalities, talents, and growth through content showing behind-the-scenes preparation and filming in Thailand and Japan, before its broadcast in 2027 on iQIYI GMT+7.
