Khun Ying Pojaman, accompanied by her daughter and son-in-law, led the Thaicom Foundation in supporting the 12th "Nationwide Thai Heartlight Walk Run Bike Fighting Stroke" event, promoting Thai awareness and prevention of stroke disease.

On 1 Nov 2026 GMT+7 at Mahidol Sitthakarn, Mahidol University Salaya campus, the Thaicom Foundation supported the 12th "Nationwide Thai Heartlight Walk Run Bike Fighting Stroke" event (WRB12), organized by the Siriraj Stroke Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, in partnership with the Somdej Phra Yuparaj Hospital Foundation, Siriraj Foundation, Thaicom Foundation, and more than 40 public and private sector partners. The event honored His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen and promoted stroke prevention awareness under the theme "Stroke: 4 Diseases, 6 Behaviors – Know and Act to Prevent."

The event featured Associate Professor Dr. Thara Wongviriyangkura, First Deputy Dean and Deputy Dean for Integration for Sustainability, representing the Dean of Siriraj Faculty of Medicine, presiding over the ceremony, along with Associate Professor Dr. Yongchai Nilanon, Chair of the Siriraj Stroke Center. Khun Ying Pojaman Damapong, Vice Chair of the Thaicom Foundation Board; Mr. Bannapot Damapong, Chair of the Thaicom Foundation Board; Ms. Pintongtha Shinawatra Kunakornwong, Board Member and Secretary of the Thaicom Foundation; and Mr. Natthapong Kunakornwong, CEO of SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, also participated.

The walk, run, and bike activities were held simultaneously nationwide, with 469,032 participants registered this year. This number reflects the strong collaboration across sectors to encourage Thai people to recognize the importance of exercise and behavioral change to reduce stroke risk.

Over the past 10 years, the Thaicom Foundation has continuously supported Siriraj and its partners, raising awareness for stroke prevention and backing the Mobile Stroke Unit project from its first vehicle. This support enhances opportunities for patients, especially in remote areas, to receive timely diagnosis and treatment, reducing risks of disability and death from stroke.

The Thaicom Foundation believes that good health is the foundation for improving quality of life and Thai society. It will continue collaborating with partners to ensure equitable healthcare access for all Thais, fostering a sustainably healthy society under the concept "Know and Act to Prevent," starting from personal health care and daily behavior changes for long-term well-being.
