Keralam Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has warned that any police officer who takes a stand against Operation Toofan will not remain in service. Addressing a programme in Haripad on Friday, Mr. Chennithala said the initiative was launched to prevent children from falling victim to drug abuse.
According to him, Operation Toofan is one of the most important initiatives of the State government. Around 99% of police personnel are working with utmost sincerity. The initiative has received massive public support.
He added that any police personnel found to be involved in malpractice would not be spared. If anyone has tampered with seized evidence, they would not remain in service. Strict action would be taken in such cases, he said.
