BJP President Nitin Nabin on Friday (November 6, 2026) alleged that Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari has "openly saying" that the Congress is ready to create "instability" in the country and plunge it into the "fires of anarchy" at the behest of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Mr. Nabin also demanded a response from Mr. Gandhi over Mr. Ansari's remark.
This came after Mr. Ansari, a Congress leader and a Minister in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led government in Jharkhand, alleged that the Modi government at the Centre has "destroyed" the country with its policies.
"As many as 40 lakh youths are on the streets… They just need an order. They will (however) not go beyond Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has held back the youth," he said while speaking to PTI Videos.
"There are 40 lakh youths. How much sena (armed forces) will you (government) call? Can they stop our students? In fact, farmers, middle-class category people, Dalits, Adivasis and Muslims — all are distressed," Mr. Ansari said.
"If the country's prime minister does not wake up to this, an emergency is bound to happen here. You will see it," he added.
The Jharkhand Minister was responding to a range of questions, from those related to the Centre's recent decision on the Agniveer recruitment scheme and Gandhi's recent remarks to US mid-term polls.
Reacting sharply to Mr. Ansari's remarks that 40 lakh students are on the streets and that they just need an order, Mr. Nabin said in a post on X, "Rahul Gandhi ji, the minister from your party in Jharkhand is openly saying that the Congress is ready to create instability in the country at your behest and plunge India into the fire of anarchy."
"What does your silence on this grave statement signify? Is it your tacit consent? Is the script to spread instability and anarchy in the country being written at your own behest? Is the remote control of this entire conspiracy in your hands? Why, after all, are those toying with the country's stability receiving your patronage?" the BJP chief asked.
"Rahul Gandhi ji, the nation demands answers from you. Your silence is further deepening these serious questions," Mr. Nabin added.
