Here's why Katrina Anne Johnson has a chance to win that seventh Miss International crown | GMA Entertainment - GMA Network

The Philippines has a storied history when it comes to the Miss International pageant, with the country winning six crowns over the pageant's 66-year history.

Hoping to add a seventh crown to that collection is Philippines representative Katrina Anne Johnson, who will be competing in the 64th Miss International pageant happening in Japan later this month.

In an interview with GMA Lifestyle, Katrina said that the pressure of that winning history is something that she accepts.

“We're the second best-performing country behind Venezuela, so of course there's a little bit of weight that comes with that history. But when it comes to pressure, I think it just pushes me to hold myself to a higher standard,” she said.

“The six queens who came before me proved themselves when they were in Japan, so I have to do the same to show that I'm worthy of being the seventh. Thankfully, I haven't really received external pressure. It's all internal.”

Of course, Katrina has been displaying that higher standard throughout her time in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant. Check out why she might just win that seventh Miss International crown in the gallery below:
