HEC Invites Applications for International Competition in China - ProPakistani

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has invited undergraduate and postgraduate students from Pakistani universities to participate in the 19th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest (ICSSC 2027) in China.

According to HEC’s announcement, the competition will take place at Harbin Engineering University in Harbin, China, from January 3 to 8, 2027. Interested universities must submit their applications and required documents by November 6, 2026.

The international event will provide students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and artistic skills through snow sculpture designs. Students from different universities will participate in the competition.

HEC has invited undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at Pakistani universities to apply for the competition.

According to the competition guidelines, students must participate through their universities rather than apply individually. Each university can nominate one team comprising up to four students and an accompanying advisor.

The competition includes professional and amateur categories. Participating teams must prepare original snow sculpture designs and follow the requirements set by the organizers.

The organizers will review the submitted designs before selecting teams for the final competition. Successful teams will receive invitations to participate in the event in China.

The competition organizers will not charge an entry fee. Harbin Engineering University will assist selected teams with accommodation and provide partial meal support during the event.

However, participants must arrange funding for expenses not covered by the organizers, including international travel.

HEC has clarified that it is only publicizing the opportunity. The commission will not provide financial assistance or take responsibility for expenses related to participation.

Interested students should contact their university administration to discuss participation and team selection.

Universities must prepare the required application documents, including team details and proposed snow sculpture designs, according to the organizers’ instructions.

The completed applications must be submitted directly to the competition organizers before the announced deadline.
