Harry, Meghan ready to sacrifice King Charles invite for clever plan - Geo News
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no longer required to be surrounded by the royals, as the couple came up with a clever plan which has the potential to overshadow the firm.
It has been reported that the former working royals are set to celebrate Christmas in the UK. Meghan's mom, Doria, will be joining the couple and her grandkids, Archie and Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan, with their low-key celebrations, aim to give a message to the public that they are more approachable royals than others.
As per Rob Shutter, "They want to show that royalty doesn’t need a palace, a grand ballroom or an extravagant banquet.
"They want to be seen as modern, accessible and connected to everyday people. This is the direction they’re taking."
Earlier, there were reports of Harry and Meghan leaving the UK to mark the festive season in the US. But they see potential in celebrating Christmas near the royals.
"They can turn not being invited into a pity party. The King can have his palaces, gold and traditions," an insider shared. "Harry and Meghan can offer something completely different. They want people comparing the two."
