Four-part Documentary Series, ‘Redeeming the Story’ Premieres - THISDAYLIVE
Afaith-based documentary chronicling the evolution of Pentecostalism in Nigeria, ‘Redeeming the Story’, is set to premiere on Youtube, November 1, 2026, with episodes two, three and four on November eighth, 15th and 22nd respectively.
The four-part documentary series compiled by renowned historian and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olasupo Shasore, tells the story of faith, hope and a journey in divine purpose.
According to the Continent Administrator, Redeemed Christian Church of God (Americas-1), Lanre Sobo, the premier represents the commitment of the church to preserve a memory which would otherwise remain with people and their families for the younger generation.
“Redeeming the Story is not a film about buildings, dates or the record of an institution. It’s about a people, about transformation and about resilience, about families who held on and about a purpose passed down from one generation to the next across continent,” he said.
He explained that with the proliferation of stories of fear and division pervading and continents and the public space, more people need to know that life can be rebuilt, families can be restored, and purpose can be found.
“A new generation is growing up across Africa, Europe, America, Australia, and beyond. Many of them have never heard these stories told in full. Not a pamphlet or even a passing mention, but properly with faces, voices, and memory. And for the first time, this story can reach you wherever you are, on the phone, on your screen, at no cost,” he said.
