FBI and US Secret Service working with Binance after $6.3 billion hack, source says - The Express Tribune
Binance is working with law enforcement around the world, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Secret Service (USSS), after hackers stole a record $6.3 billion from the platform, a person familiar with the situation told Reuters.
The FBI said in a statement that it was "aware of the incident and is engaged with relevant public and private partners to understand the scope of the activity, evaluate potential impacts, and coordinate appropriate investigative steps."
The USSS did not respond to a request for comment sent via email outside of US hours.
Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, in what analysts say is the biggest crypto hack ever, an attack that could prompt investors to rethink the risks of owning digital assets.

The hackers behind the raid were from North Korea, according to US blockchain analysis firms TRM Labs and Chainalysis. The attackers targeted Binance wallets on 10 blockchains and shifted most of the funds in about 20 minutes, TRM Labs said in a statement.
