Palnadu District Collector Kritika Shukla has announced holiday for all government and private schools, colleges and Anganwadi centres on Tuesday (November 2) in view of Cyclone Murasu.

The Collector, in a press release here on Sunday, informed that the district administration has made all necessary arrangements to effectively deal with Cyclone Murasu.

A special control room has been set up at the Collectorate to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience due to the cyclone and to facilitate immediate relief measures. The control room will function round-the-clock. Staff have been deployed to provide necessary information to the public and coordinate relief operations.

In view of the cyclone warnings, the District Collector urged people to remain alert and avoid going outdoors unless absolutely necessary.
