The City of Cape Town has reassured Langa residents that the suspension of the Cape Amalgamated Taxi Association (CATA) Langa Inter-township Taxi Association will not disrupt commuter services.
On Friday, the provincial Taxi Registrar suspended the association's registration for six months following an inquiry into unlawful operations in Epping.
An investigation found the association had allowed route invasions, failed to control its members, and linked some drivers to acts of violence.
