The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been spreading lies about the 550 acres of Miyapur land, falsely claiming his government protected it, even though the previous BRS administration fought the case in the Supreme Court.
Whip of BRS Legislature Party in the Assembly K.P. Vivekanand and Korutla MLA K. Sanjay said here on Saturday that it was the previous BRS Government that had fought the case for 10 years till Congress came to power, but the Chief Minister was claiming as if he had protected the lands. The reality was that Mr. Revanth Reddy was planning to sell the lands and spoking of selling the lands even before he could get a copy of the Supreme Court judgment.
This has led to suspicion that Mr. Revanth Reddy took money as an advance for the sale well in advance, the BRS MLAs alleged, adding that the Revanth Reddy Government had initially conspired to sell lands given to Hyderabad Metro by taking over the L&T HMRL, then unveiled the Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation (HILT) policy to give away the precious land at throwaway prices to companies to whom they were given on lease for establishing industries.
After returning to power, the BRS would order an inquiry into all land deals of the Revanth Reddy Government, the BRS leaders said.
