The Chinese mainland has reaffirmed its position on the Taiwan region's participation in international organizations, saying any such matter must be handled under the one-China principle. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council made the remarks in response to the DPP authorities hyping up the region's bid to join INTERPOL, ahead of the organization's General Assembly to be held in Hong Kong from November 30 to December 3.
