A case has been registered against a teacher on charges of sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy at a madrasa attached to Fatima Masjid in Kurmaguda.

According to the complaint lodged by the boy’s mother, the accused subjected the child to sexual abuse after showing him obscene videos on a mobile phone. The accused also reportedly warned the boy against disclosing the incident to anyone.

Madannapet police registered a case against the accused under Sections 127(2) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 8 and 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The boy was sent to Bharosa centre for recording his statement. Further investigation is underway.
