“Reeling from successive defeats in the elections, the Congress Party is now determined by any means to seize power, even if it means murdering democracy through their anarchic actions. To protect our democracy from the Congress Party’s nefarious attempts, I will participate in the grand padayatra titled ‘Let Us Safeguard Democracy - Let Us End Anarchism’ taking place this evening in Hyderabad,” Mr. Shah posted from his account on X.
The padayatra is scheduled to be held from Babu Jagjivan Ram statue in Basheerbagh to MJ Market in the city. Senior leaders from the State BJP unit have earlier inspected the routes. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay, BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao and other leaders from the party would participate in the rally. Hyderabad Traffic Police announced restrictions on major routes in the central part of the city.
